You mean beside Halloween? I love to decorate the inside of my home. I used to paint on glassware like martini and wine glasses. I may sew a pillow or tablerunner for my store. Antique shopping and entertaining family and guests. I enjoy playing the role of Mad Scientist and trying out new drinks. Discovering new music is one of my fave things to do.
MOVIES
Lon Chaney; all the old horror movies; Skeleton Key; My Neighbor Totoro; The Grudge; The Ring; Monsters, Inc; Monty Python and the Holy Grail; Metropolis; Tombstone; Sweeney Todd; Edward Scissorhands; Nosferatu, Harry Potter, the original Pirates of the Caribbean. Disney's Haunted Mansion strictly for the set.
MUSIC
I'm a music junkie. Johnny Hollow, Rosin Coven, Abney Park, Cornertour. Grieg, Tchaikovsky,Duke Ellington, 80's alternative rock, New Orleans jazz, vintage blues. Jill Tracy, Virgil Franklin. Throw in a little Chemical Bros., Queen of the Damned (except for some of the more abrasive songs), Ragtime/saloon piano, Fiona Apple, Coldplay, Dread Zeppelin. The first Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack, Harry Potter soundtracks.
Madeleine's Ghost; China Mieville's "Un Lun Dun".
Used to be an avid reader, but somewhere between The Great Gatsby and one of the Chandler books I got antsy, and rarely read anymore. Someday I'll get Human Smoke, about "the truth" behind WWII.(I love conspiracy theories).
Imagining new Halloween party themes, hitting garage sales for stuff I can use for said parties, and the like.
I love seeing everyone's wildly creative projects on this site, and other sites like HauntForum and HalloweenForum.
I love hanging out in the garage and building or designing props and decor for parties. I could never turn on a TV, and listen to music instead all day and night. Love hanging out in the kitchen while my husband tries out a new recipe. Board games with the kids is a blast. I love to give gifts, and wrapping them beautifully is half the fun.
I love having our friends over for a saucy game of Balderdash.
Near the top of my list is decorating my home. Being a true Taurus, my home is indeed my castle, and I'd love to make it look like one as well!
DISLIKES
Anyone who tries to recruit me for their Agenda. You know who you are.
Bullies. You know, the people who need to make others feel little so they feel big.
ABOUT ME OR MY HAUNTING PASSIONS
What is there about spooky music, candlelight, and a room full of people you enjoy, while dressing as "not yourself" NOT to love?
Every year's a different theme. We've done Haunted Mansion, Arachnaphobia, N'Awlins Voodoo, and this year it's Grave Hill Ghost Town. Next year, perhaps Dead Celebrities or a Shag-inspired Halloween, Egyptian,or Japanese Ghost Story. That's a scary one.
The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised
The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one.
