It seems like our weekends are always busy with something and I work ten hour days so I don't get a whole lot of free time for hobbies. When I do have free time I like just to relax and sleep. I do enjoy photography and messing around with photoshop, learning how to do HTML type things, going to our local hockey games, learning how to ice skate, reading, playing video/arcade games, camping, checking out garage sales and of course, I'm always on the hunt for any Halloween related ideas and items throughout the year.

I am mostly into action or fantasy movies.......once in awhile I will watch a comedy, rarely a chick flick or drama and very few "scary" movies (if you can even call them that)...it's weird I know...I like to do the scaring not be scared.

A Few Halloween Type Movies I Enjoy Are:
Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, Lost Boys, Monster Squad, Witches of Eastwick, Hocus Pocus, and The Craft
Favorite Films/Directors:
John Hughes, Tim Burton, Peter Jackson, Baz Luhrmann & PIXAR films

My taste in music varies from day to day
or even hour to hour for that matter. It just depends on what kind of mood I'm in at the moment. I listen to just about everything from Aerosmith to Harry Connick Jr to Garbage to Kelly Clarkson.

What I don't like is that crap where they do nothing but scream. I'm also not a fan of music where they do nothing but swear.

I love books and could spend hours at the library or in a book store. Right now I'm working on reading The Eldest and The Chronicles of Narnia. I also plan on starting the most recent Harry Potter as well. Yeah I know, it's a lot but I have a book in just about every room in the house so I can just pick one up and start reading when I get a free minute.

More pet peeves than "turn off's" but whatever...
watching movies with commercials, seeing Christmas stuff out before Halloween, people who are always making plans with you and then constantly backing out on you (once in awhile, understandable; every single time, not so much) and people who give me a hard time about being so excited about Halloween (do they not know it's the most wonderful time of the year?)

I am a small town Iowa girl who moved to a "slightly" bigger Iowa town. I was married in June of '03, no kids (yet) and have an American Eskimo, Romeo, who turned one in May. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in May of 2000 with a BA in Early Childhood Education. I taught 4 & 5 year olds for 5 years and for the last year and a half I have been teaching 3 year olds.
I am: very shy, a nightowl, a planner and an organzier, and domestically challenged :)
