Favorite Horror icon?
How can I choose between Freddy, Jason, Leatherface and Michael Meyers?

I guess I'll go Leatherface. Chainsaw is just cool.

This year's ('08) yard haunt theme? "The Grimm Cemetary". The Graveyard Caretaker summons the bodies and souls of the buried to terrorize guests.

The ghouls will participate in the "Awakening Processional", carrying a casket to the graveyard as a "sacrifice" to "awaken" the Caretaker. Really cool stuff.

I don't get to spend a lot of money on props. I have spent about $20-25 each year in '06,'07 and now '08. I try to buy alot of cheap stuff and combine them. My prized possesions? My fogger and 6' tall Grim Reaper.

It's not the amount I spend or amount of stuff I have. It's the passion and heart that goes into it. We no doubt put ont he best show in the neighborhood on Halloween. That's the goal every year.

How'd this year go? AMAZING! I couldn't have imagined it better. Every single person that went by absolutely loved it. I got alot of compliments ("best in the neighborhood", "best I've ever seen", "You scared the **** out of me", "Amazing job!" etc.). We had about 100 people pass by during the day and about 50 or so come back at night. I at one point had a crowd of about 35 people standing in the street taking pictures and looking at the decorations. I stood there, not moving then scared the hell out of them.

Basically, I was the Caretaker, my brother Michael Meyers, his friend a skeleton and our other friend was a crazy zombie that screamed and begged everyone to go away. I had a shirt with blood on it, a tie, and a real iron chain as a belt. I carried the shovel, which was a great effect. I banged it and made noise with it. That's what really scared people. Fear of the shovel.

Once the fog got going, it filled the whole street and looked incredible. It drew the crowds to us. Also, we had our insane stereo out there blasting scary ambience sounds and horror themes such as "Halloween" and "Excorcist". Once night came around, the fog and strobes really added to it and it just looked amazing.

Really, everyone loved it and it was a great success. Just standing out there and seeing everyones reactions (laughing or screaming) makes it all worth it.
