*** Some Halloween 2008 Photos! ****
How'd this year go? AMAZING! I couldn't have imagined it better. Every single person that went by absolutely loved it. I got alot of compliments ("best in the neighborhood", "best I've ever seen", "You scared the **** out of me", "Amazing job!" etc.). We had about 100 people pass by during the day and about 50 or so come back at night. I at one point had a crowd of about 35 people standing in the street taking pictures and looking at the decorations. I stood there, not moving then scared the hell out of them.
Basically, I was the Caretaker, my brother Michael Meyers, his friend a skeleton and our other friend was a crazy zombie that screamed and begged everyone to go away. I had a shirt with blood on it, a tie, and a real iron chain as a belt. I carried the shovel, which was a great effect. I banged it and made noise with it. That's what really scared people. Fear of the shovel.
Once the fog got going, it filled the whole street and looked incredible. It drew the crowds to us. Also, we had our insane stereo out there blasting scary ambience sounds and horror themes such as "Halloween" and "Excorcist". Once night came around, the fog and strobes really added to it and it just looked amazing.
Really, everyone loved it and it was a great success. Just standing out there and seeing everyones reactions (laughing or screaming) makes it all worth it.
A few terrible "VCam Now" pictures. More coming soon. Short Video later.
This year's main character,(That's me!) the Caretaker awaits some victims.
Run for your lives. He's gonna eat you!
I liked my makeup job. It looked awesome. (Looks like crap here, but the real digital camera pictures will show it off much better)
A scareactor awaits.
The sign with the website address on it.
MORE LATER! Still to come: visitor e-mails, Michael Meyers, a short video, higher quality pictures, and the final minutes of this year's haunt. Stay tuned!
