Aside from decorating our house for Halloween then plotting and planning all year long for next Halloween, I have a lot of hobbies. If you really want to know, ask me. Who knows, we might have quite a few things in common.

I'm sure it comes as no surprise that I like horror movies. But truth be told, I prefer comedy. I guess to sum it all up quickly, I like most genres of movies so now you can figure that I'm easy when it comes to what I am willing to see. But I will say I'm not into the kung-fu, Steven Segal kind of movies. But I will watch those if there's nothing else worth seeing. See, I told you I'm easy with what I'm willing to watch. LOL

I am a total metal head through and through, but you might also be surprised to know that I like classical, (yes, classical) some rap, R&B, some techo and even some country. But country is my least favorite of all. For those who know me well know that Heavy Metal is my music of preference.

I love the works of The Marque de Sade, Edgar Allen Poe, Stephen King, E.B. White, Aesop, Hemmingway and many others. I guess you could say I love all kinds of books, really. I like, horror, some sci-fi, theology, true stories, comedy, and mysteries. I usually read tomes of a Pagan nature~it's just my preference lately. But I'll read any religious book because I like to learn about other religions and the doctrines they teach. I'm not one to shun any religion, and to quote deceased Wiccan author, Scott Cunningham, "There is no one TRUE path to deity." I have to agree. I also love to read to my children as often as possible. It's so cool to see their eyes light up when they're taken to new places in their minds simply by reading. It warms my heart when my kids turn off the TV, put away the toys and stop playing the video games to sit down and read at their own initiation. I love to feed my mind with literature and I'm very proud that my kids have adopted that ideal. Books are one of the best educational tools around.

I am turned off by people who are so quick to label, judge and finger point at others when they don't take a good look at themselves in the mirror first. The kind of people who do this think they're perfect, but they're not! So I think they should STOP judging just because they THINK they know someone and what they're all about. Chances are, they're completely wrong. They usually are. If you're like this, get over yourself please! Oh, and I hate spiders!

I am a married mother of 4 beautiful children and I have loved Halloween as long as I can remember. When I was a child, my friend and I thought that celebrating only once a year was just not good enough. To appease our addiction to Halloween, around summertime we would find some old clothing, dress up as best as we could and then went door to door trick or treating. Most of our neighbors loved it and actually gave us candy for our efforts. Yes, there were some that were not so nice, but the cool neighbors played right along. So I think you get an idea of just how much Halloween has meant to me all of my life. With that said, being on Hauntspace appeases that urge now that I am an adult so needless to say, I'm happy to be a member.
