I love to play Roller Coaster Tycoon. Versions 2 & 3. MOST of my spare time is used up designing amusement parks and roller coasters for the game. I have two rather dismal forums dedicated to the game.
I belong to a band, which is just getting to it's feet and finding it's balance. We just brought in a lead singer. We have a drummer and I'm the purcussionist. I don't really sing. I just beat on things. I happen to be pretty good at it.
MOVIES
These are the movies I DIDN'T get to see this year. And I really wanted to see them. But first... let's get something out of the way...
I'm tired of the Batman movies. It's just a big can of worms because everyone has an opinion about them, which one's are a favorite, and which ones sux. So I will not go there.
I didn't get to see these and I MIGHT be able to pick them up on DVD this month...
Hellboy II: The Golden Army
Spiderman III
I have the first two movies, I'd be sic if I didn't get the third.
I never really had an intrest in the comic books of The Fantastic Four. So I'm passing on those guys too.
X-Men is another series that is pretty much a non-intrest, since I never followed them in the first place... (comic book) anyway.
The last series I got on DVD are the extended length of the three Lord of the Rings movies. (Notice I gave the work the respect it deserves by calling it by it's full name, rather than the lazy asshole's keyboard shortcut of LOTR?)
I'm also collecting the Harry Potter series. And I'm glad that Warner Bros. is making the last book a two-part series. I like the idea that it'll be an eight movie collection. Rather than the odd seven volumes. Actually, a number of the books COULD of gone with the "Part 2" treatment, if you ask me. No biggie, but it could of made a better collective work.
MUSIC
Alright.
I KNOW that we're not supposed to spam around here. But this is a music resource I just HAVE to share with my frends, and those who just drop in.
I know of this music website... Well, it's MORE than just music. There are games and animation there too. So if you want to waste a little time, on-line, I really would recomend the site.
But back to the music bit... The site is called Newgrounds...
http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/
and you can DL music for free. The area you'll want to investigate is the "Audio Portal" And scroll down to the bottom to add a search term... like Spooky, Scary, Haunted... you get the idea.
Now all the songs are free. It's just that if you use them, you have to give credit for the artist. Which isn't half bad actually. MOST songs already feature this and you most likely won't have to key in everything yourself.
Which is ultra-cool, as I just got a new PDA and it plays MP3s.
Their all MP3 files, so this is perfect to use on an IPod or of course, some other MP3 player, WITHOUT having to convert them from some other filetype. They would also be great to use here, in the music feature of your personal webpage here.
I'm a big fan of Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, and that game also allows the import and use of the MP3 format. Just imagine what you could do with a music resource like this. Great haunting tunes and music, that nobody has ever heard before.
I know I sound like a spam-bot, but I really just wanted to pass along this fantastic audio resource.
BOOKS
Who reads books anymore??!!
Jeeze, with Email, text messaging, and movie subtitles, do we really need to read more? It's just too much to have to wade through.
Give me movies and just make sure the SCREENPLAY remains true to the author's creation. Is it so much to ask to copy just enough to make a DECENT 2-hour movie?
I love the new dark ride era that the amusement parks in Orlando seem to be experiencing. A welcomed break from the coaster wars that Six Flags is having with itself.
I love to put together dark rides in Roller Coaster Tycoon 3. (See my hobbies below.)
I like Halloween and Christmas. Don't bother to ask me which ones better. Because it's all just something to do to break up the monotony of everyday life and boredom. Besides, you get the day off on Christmas. That should tell you something.
But Halloween should always be on the last Friday of October. That way, you can party all week end! PLUS! It puts a few days between Halloween and that "All Saints Day" crap that the religeous leaders think is supposed to take Halloweens place. (Yeah... Riiiiight.)
DISLIKES
When you flush the toilet, and it doesn't do it right. Then you have to stand there, and wait for the tank to fill, so you can flush it again... I hate that.
I hate those flimsy plastic grocery bags that split open and all your groceries spill out in the parking lot, just as you lift them to put into the trunk of the car. "Damm you flimsy grocery bags!"
I hate it when there is a forgotten print job waiting to be completed on the printer, and you go and print out a photo of something, and the old printing document is printed instead. This especially sucks if it's a 167 Adobe Acrobat file/document that was inadvertantly selected to print in the first place.
I hate it when you go through a drive-thru at KFC or Micky D's and they give you the wrong stuff, and you don't discover THEIR mistake until after you get it home and onto the dinner table. But you eat it anyway, because it'll cost you twice as much gas to go and return it. By THAT time your hunger is replaced by anger and by the time you get home, you're in no mood to eat.
ABOUT ME OR MY HAUNTING PASSIONS
I like to keep things different from year to year. Sometimes I'll haunt or help haunt a yard. Or I'll do the garage, or BOTH. Sometimes I'll do the yard and have a party. Or I'll do it all. It just depends on what I feel like doing from year to year.
I've also been a part of a seasonal haunt. I'm a pretty good sparky, (electrician) and I like to think of myself as an audio specialist. But mostly electrical work is my thing. Along with a few static props.
