Making Halloween! I enjoy computer gaming, reading, being outdoors, making my own Halloween decorations, making jewelry, fiddling with computer graphics programs, learning illuminated calligraphy, and I write in what little spare time I have. I've written base scripts for a few haunts that belong to some folks at the Halloween-L list (@wildrice.com).

The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Corpse Bride, The Others, Ghost Ship, Sleepy Hollow, The Haunting, Rose Red, Gothika, The Shining, The Haunted Mansion (even though it's horribly cheesy, I have to watch it every time it's on!), Disney's animated short The Legend of Sleepy Hollow always gets me ready to plan my Halloween scene!

Nickelback, Hinder, Slaughter, Phantom Blue, Aerosmith, the Beatles, Foo Fighters, Audioslave, STP, RCHP, Linkin Park, Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper, NIN, Marylin Manson. . .too many others to list

Scary ones of course! Stephen King, Anne Rice, John Saul, Robert R. McCammon, Dean Koontz, Troy Taylor, Arthur Meyers, JK Rowling (not so scary, but good). . .I like books of paranormal accounts and cryptozoology information (Loren Coleman) as well as pagan religion history.

Scary Halloween stuff. Nice, honest, hard-working, loyal, open-minded people. Beautiful yet creepy cemeteries, creepy old houses.

Horribly cutesy Halloween decorations (except 'antique reproductions'). Closed-minded people, liars and thieves, proselytizers, tyrants, addicts, and of course violent people.

I'm mom to two sons, I have an annual haunted house and graveyard scene called "the Revenants' Lair", and all the rest of the info follows below.

Gallery note: The 7 Ft tall Skeletal Executioner has been part of my scene for about 7 years now, though he's gotten a few revamps. His hands are coathangers and masking tape. You can barely make out the "Dead Ringer" at the bottom right of this pic, that's a Bucky hand coming out of a grave and pulling a bellrope. That has been part of the scene since 2003.

Peter Stubbe was a new addition for 2005. If you're not familiar with who he is, he was a man who was condemned and executed for being a werewolf. I just "liked" the fact that he was executed on Halloween. Macabre, aren't I?

Both creatures are "home-made" with masks. Pete's hands came with his mask.
