I love to cook, make Halloween costumes for my kids, carve pumpkins, draw and paint, and just about anything else that a spooky stay at home mom likes to do!

There aren't many large scale haunt attractions around here the closest is about 100 miles away from my home but there are a few local churches that have haunts for fund raising and the Rebel State Park and Museum that is about 15 miles from my home have a pretty good haunted house and the hay ride with a chase from the Headless Horseman is a blast!

I live very close to a town called Pleasant Hill and every year on the first weekend in April they have the re-enactment of The Battle of Pleasant Hill. The Battle of Pleasant Hill was fought April 9, 1864 during the Red River Campaign of the American Civil War. The re-enactment is awesome to watch and the venders sell just about anything you can think of. They have the best carni food! Now there are afew of the camphouses still standing and they are rumored to be haunted. I have yet to check it out after dark but I am in hopes of one day catching a glimpse of the shadowy figure of a Confederate soldier.

It doesn't get any better than Horror.....I have many favorites. Of course, The Bride of Frankenstein as well as Halloween (the original and Rob Zombie's remake), House of 1000 Corpses, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,
Deliverance, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Elvira Mistress of the Dark
and Elvira's Haunted Hills, The Exorcist (eeekkk!!), Any and all of the videos at www.pumpkinrot.com, Dog Soldiers, Friday The 13th and the list goes on and on.....

Anything by Rob Zombie, Abberant laboratory, Raison D'etre, Halloween soundtrack and just about anything else that's really creepy and scary sounding!

Stephen King,Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft,Dean Koontz, Stephanie Meyer, Loved R.L. Stine as an adolescent and Shakespeare.

Halloween by far is my favorite holiday. I hate that I got too old to go trick-or-treating but that's OK because now I get to take my kids. I love to decorate my home and yard with all things scary at that spooky time of year and I absolutely love to cook and cast. I must say though that my favorite thing to do is carve pumpkins it's a shame they don't grow year round!

Those who don't realize what a special and magical holiday that Halloween really is.

I hope to one day put on a really scary haunt. It's a shame that I can't leave my decor out all year but I guess that might give the neiborhood abit of the heebijeebies.....one day, though, I will haunt with the best of them!
