My web site: This Old Haunt With Boo Villa

(95% of the graphics were made by me!)

People who aren't afraid to speak their minds or talk about themselves. I also like people who can accept my twisted sense of humor and my inquisitive fascination in the Paranormal, The Unexplained, The Mysterious, The Weird & Strange, including the Fortean.

I've been told I'm very friendly and open and I have "rustle resistant" feathers... I don't offend easily.

I am a rabid individualist and consider being labeled "weird" a compliment... it lets me know I'm *not* like everyone else. I suppose you could say I'm in touch with my "inner problem child" and while she may (allegedly) stash Fate Magazines under her mattress she's really a little angel.. albeit with a "slightly" tarnished halo! ::Cough, cough.::

People who can't accept me as I am and people who take advantage of my kind, generous nature. Here's the deal boys and girls... I've worn a socially accpetable persona all my life and hidden the true me. I kept a low profile on my interest in the Paranormal and related subjects. One close brush with death changed all that. Life's too short to be just another sheep in the herd. Know what I mean? Now I'm me in all my unrestrained, outspoken, eccentric glory. If you can't accept me the way that I am then please... move along... there's nothing to see here.

::A lazy smirk teases up a corner of her mouth.:: Just tellin' it like it is... I'm hell on wheels with very few inhibitions... lead, follow or be the victim of a hit and run!

Call me "Spooky". I admit the nickname fits my personality. I am the Mistress of my little domain and while it's true that absolute power corrupts absolutely I find that omnipotence only corrupts a wee bit.

Being the Ruler of your own Domain does have its perks... however... I find I'm sorely lacking in filth riddled villagers to repress. ::Le sigh.:: It's lonely at the top!

I get to annoy (and emotionally disturb) my neighbors once a year (legally) when Halloween rolls around! If it weren't for Halloween I'd be in SERIOUS trouble! ::Snicker fit.:: Gotta vent those "socially unacceptable" impulses some way don't we?

I was a paralegal in another life. Now I'm a lady of leisure which has left me with WAY too much time on my hands... that's why I'm here... on Haunt Space.

I'm also here because on Haunt Space I'm (FINALLY) in the norm. I've found others like me, closet eccentrics with inquisitive and often times morbid minds. Let's just say I no longer feel like The Lone Ranger.

It's a blessing to be somewhere I'm accepted just as I am. I'm grateful to the owner of Haunt Space for personally inviting me here when we bumped into one another in a Yahoo Group. I worship the ground he stalks on. Many Thanks wherever you are!!!

I'm an avid student of the Paranormal. My favorite holiday is Halloween (of course). Each Halloween I stage a complex, haunted graveyard in my front yard. I take advantage of the holiday and put on my "old crone" costume to emotionally scar the neighborhood kiddies. Joking!

I'm very proud of the fact that the kids mob my house on Halloween. Mine is the only house in the neighborhood that has it's FREAK ON!!! If the kiddies make it to the front door they get a fistful of AWESOME candy!!!

I started this Halloween haunt ritual 18 years ago and I've got second and even third generation Trick-Or-Treaters coming to my Haunted Graveyard. I'm proud of my hard earned reputation and the chilling, thrilling happy memories I've given to generations of children. I want to give the kids happy, wonderous memories to cherish and hold when life gets challenging and difficult.

Halloween in my opinion is a holiday bereft of family fights and feuds. It truly is a holiday of unconditional giving and trust. It's a stress free holiday where no one feels forced to participate. If you opt out of the celebration no one holds it against you. No offense but Christmas would be MUCH better if it were more like Halloween.

It is my hope to continue with my yard haunt for as long as I'm allowed. It's the one day of the year that brings me pure, unadulterated joy and I cherish the excitement, joy and thrilling fear my yard haunt inspires in the kids... young and old.

And so... you've just read an open book entitled "The Skewed World of Spooky" Perhaps I make myself sound worse than I am, perhaps I'm as weird as I present myself to be. I'd like to say I know myself but quite honestly I grow and change from year to year.

I do consider myself a compassionate, generous, nonjudgemental person. What you see is what you get. I also like to think I'm like Lucille Ball gone horribly wrong. You may think me a bit zany, a tad off the wall or an Act of God just waiting to happen but I assure you... I'm mostly harmless.

Oh yeah... I live in a good, old-fashioned HAUNTED HOUSE! I'm very candid and open about my 18 years of confuddling and sometimes hair raising experiences. Feel free to talk to me about it anytime.

Happy Hauntings!

You are The Star

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised

The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one.

 Happy St. Patty's Day!

May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
