Blog Entry: Yesterday I was watching TV, playing with the laptop, talking on the phone, texting rude messages to my wife, and blowing my nose, when out of nowhere I hear this series of thumps. It sounds like something large and heavy was falling off the roof. I extracted myself from my gadgets, grabbed the crutches, and hobbled outside to get a look at the roof. Nothing. Everything was where it should be. I'm used to the strange noises coming from the house now and then, but this is the first time I heard of a roof being haunted. Oh well, back to TV. Just found out it was the space shuttle landing at Edwards Air Force Base, just a little bit up North of here. Evidently the space shuttle emitted a double sonic boom, which scared the crap out of a bunch of people. I know I heard more than two booms, but that was probably echos from the nearby mountains. Anyway, the link above will bring you to a couple videos. I'm glad I wasn't the only one freaking out. heh CS
