I am an amateur naturalist and gardener. I dabble in crafts and art, especially related to Halloween. I love hiking, birding, wildflowers, kayaking, snowshoeing and full moon walks. I am active at the local nature center (CNC). I enjoy trying new things in the kitchen and learning new craft techniques. I attend craft shows to get ideas I can use at home, and antique shows to find prop material

I love the old stuff, Dracula with Bela, Wolfman with Lon Chaney Jr, Creature from the Black Lagoon and Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein with Karloff. Also the original Halloween, Sleepy Hollow with Johnny Depp, Nightmare before Christmas and Corpse Bride. The Addams Family movies with Anjelica Houston, Psycho, The Birds, Rear Window, Arsenic and Old Lace.

I love all things Halloween, especially the classics and vintage items. I prefer the creepy and macabre to the gross and gory, but I appreciate the talent that goes into all of them. I love older horror flicks and literature.

Dislikes are few in this arena but include unnecessary remakes of great movies and SciFic channel original movies (most are just cheesy).

At home I have little outside space - a porch and small flower garden. Inside I'm developing a full house haunt. I also started last year with the Haunted Forest in Midland and hope to continue to support that effort. It's and outdoor walk through haunt to support Special Olympics
