Surfing the 'net, annoying my prudish neighbors with my Halloween decorations for an entire month. Practicing the craft. Ghost Hunting. Reading. Playing guitar hero on playstation. It's the only game I can beat my husband at!

Old horror movies, some newer horror movies, a few comedies, chick flicks, sci fi, no drama. Some favorites are: Universal monsters (dracula, wolf man, frankenstein), Nosferatu, Frank Langella's Dracula, Gary Oldman's Dracula, Young Frankenstein, original Halloween, Evil Dead trilogy, The Shining, Poltergeist, The Howling, The Fog, Hammer Films, Hell Night, Scream, The Legend of Hell House, Silver Bullet, Carrie, Shaun of the Dead, Tommy Boy, Elvira's Haunted Hills, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, Never Been Kissed, Sorority Boys, Legend, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, The Neverending Story, Ever After, The Wedding Singer, Wayne's World, Porky's, Night at the Roxbury, original The Day the Earth Stood Still, Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail, Sense and Sensibility. I really don't care for too many remakes of old horror movies. They tend to be way too gross and gory, or there's no plot. The only exceptions would be the Amityville movie with Ryan Reynolds and Rob Zombie's Halloween. I refuse to watch Saw movies, but I do like 13 Ghosts. The Juggernaut, the Hammer and the Jackal were awesome!! I love Vincent Price movies. If I had to pick a favorite, it would have to be The Last Man on Earth. I LOVE Star Wars, Harry Potter, Narnia, Lord of the Rings, X-Men, Spiderman, basically any superhero movie. James Bond movies, some Disney movies, Jurassic Park, The Mummy trilogy, etc.

I have a wide variety of music that I like. My CD case has over 200 CD's in it. Everything from Tchaikovsky to Marilyn Manson. Really, the only stuff I don't like, (with a few exceptions) is rap music, hip hop, R&B, christian music and todays country music. Some faves are: Alice Cooper, AC/DC, Rob Zombie, Ted Nugent, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Bob Marley, Coldplay, Cream, The Doors, Kiss, Metallica, Megadeth, Michael Jackson, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Cher, The Cure, Van Halen, The Who, blues, some jazz, any classical music, bluegrass, 80's hair bands, Aerosmith, Pearl Jam, REM, Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Enigma. I'm a big fan of Nox Arcana and Midnight Syndicate too. I would like to eventually make my own CD of scary sounds to use for my haunt. I've already got tons of compilations of sounds and music tho. I need to set up some speakers and things in the yard instead of just having the cd player on the porch. Not much of an electrician tho!

Trashy romance novels, especially ones by Bertrice Small, anything halloween related, Edgar Allan Poe. Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Little Women, Narnia, books on witchcraft. Anything about paranormal stuff or Egypt. Kim Harrison has a series of books about a witch named Rachael Morgan who is a bounty hunter, living in a church with an undead vamp, a pixie, and a gargoyle. I love them all! You should definitely pick them up. Start with "Dead Witch Walking". I also like Matheson, and am getting ready to start reading the Twilight series. I know, I'm way behind, right? Well, I've never read any Lovecraft either. I'll get there tho!

Halloween obviously, and everything that goes with it. Horror movies, horror conventions, trying to make my own props. In my opinion, there are no other holidays. Elvira and Bruce Campbell. I love my 4 dogs (two pits, an american bulldog and a pit/american bulldog mix) and my husband. He is very tolerable of my "Halloween obsession". He even dresses up to scare people for me, but I think he does it cause he likes it! My favorite painter is John William Waterhouse. I also like taking pictures, traveling, camping, hiking, thunderstorms, reading, witchcraft, going to concerts and playing cards with friends. I love "Halloween smells". For example: bonfires/campfires, hot apple cider, candy corn, crisp Autumn leaves, and my Halloween decorations when I get them out of the totes in my garage. My fave restaurant is Texas Roadhouse. I love to watch T.V. Bewitched, Tales from the Darkside, Tales from the Crypt, Dark Shadows, Family Guy, The Simpsons, the original Star Trek, Wipeout, Crash Course, That 70's Show, UFC, True Blood and Ghost Hunters. Check out my fave websites!

People who think Halloween is evil, and those people who look at you like you belong to the luny bin when you tell them how many days are left until Halloween or that you just got a really cool prop/costume/idea for your haunt. High priced props/haunted attractions. Kids who don't wear a costume but expect candy. We scare those kids REAL bad! Parents without a costume carrying a baby wearing no costume that expect you to give them candy. NOT!!! Retail stores that put Christmas stuff out the same time as Halloween stuff. Christmas in July!! WTF??? Liars, thieves, bad drivers, super hot weather, super cold weather, parents who let their kids do whatever the hell they want, bad and/or annoying neighbors. Smokers who throw their butts out their car window. The Beatles. Car and jewelry commercials. Bad spellers.

I've always loved Halloween. I remember not being able to wait to put up the halloween decorations when I was younger. The excitement of getting them down from the attic and putting everything where I wanted it. The anticipation of going TOT'ing Halloween night, buying or having my mom make a cool costume and getting to wear it to school for the Halloween parade, and enjoying the party at school was so fun! I can't believe they don't let kids do that anymore. It's so sad. I recently found all the decorations my parents had when I was growing up on Ebay and bought them for my house. I wish I had the original ones we had, but they got rid of them when I moved out. I don't like the cutesy Halloween decorations. Dressed up Teddy Bears and friendly ghosts make me want to barf. But I don't go for the super gory stuff either. I like skeletons, vampires, witches, ghouls, spiders and pumpkins. I have strobe lights, foggers, scary sounds, and people dressed up to look like props. I love it when kids are too scared to come into the yard! I decorate indoors and out. I think about and plan for Halloween year round. I'm always looking to buy new stuff to rotate into my haunt so people don't see the same stuff year after year. I love to dress up, go to haunted houses for ideas, decorate to the max, and make halloween themed baked goods. The whole month of October is really special for me. I save up my vacation and take most of it then. I decorate the first week of the month, camp out and enjoy the covered bridge festival with my family the second week of the month, and go to haunted houses and hayrides and parties the rest of the month except for the last few days before Halloween. That's my busy time. I have to carve the pumpkins, put the finishing touches on my costume and outside haunt and buy candy. The day of, I'm running around like mad making sure everything is perfect. I live in Indiana, so the weather is never what you'd call predictable, and if it rains, it really screws me up!! Do you remember being young and getting ready for going TOT'ing, and your parents made you wear a coat? I hated that! One of these days, I'm going to buy some small battery operated fans to put behind or under some props to move them slightly, set up a better lighting system, advertise so we'll get more kids, set up a sound system, and buy some cameras to record all the action.
