Distressing nite!
Posted On 05/06/2008 23:22:46 by PAHalloweenFreak
Ahahahaha!!  Gotcha!   I bet you thought it was going to be a blog of gloom & doom but it is really about "Distressing" my Blucky's outfit!  Ok, so I have discovered another good way for distressing clothes.  A Rasp.  The saw works fine but due to the fact that I had carpal tunnel surgery a few years ago, it was killing my wrist.  So today I bought a rasp to try.  It does put alot of pulls in the material but that adds to the tattered look that I was... Who's idea was this anyway?
Posted On 05/04/2008 22:04:22 by PAHalloweenFreak
Ok, who was the wise guy that came up with the idea that I could make this carriage?  Oh right!  That would be me.  But I know something on here inspired me to do it so someone else is partially to blame!  LOL!!
I wonder if I will ever get this thing done!!  Just a few notes of interest that may be helpful to others.  A 4 ft. Blucky wears about a size 12 boys shoe.  The pants I got for him are a boys size 14, the shirt is a size 18 but is a bit big an... Read More

Hearse Progress
Posted On 04/20/2008 22:56:44 by PAHalloweenFreak

Progress is still slow but the main part of the carriage is just about done.  Just have to do the doors and then move on to the wheel assembly.  That should be fun. NOT!! LOL!!  Just a couple of pics to show where I am at on it.

Ha Ha!  Don't laugh at my headless blucky!  He will be getting a new head to put on his shoulders.  LOL!!

Slow Progress continues
Posted On 04/12/2008 23:24:23 by PAHalloweenFreak
Well, once again progress is slow.  Things are difficult enough and then I get new ideas while I am working on it.  LOL!!
Still not sure if I will paint the spiders on the corners silver with the rails being silver or if I will paint them black.   I am leaning toward the silver to make it look like the decorative top is all metal.  Still have to figure what I will use for the legs too.  The decorative corner pieces are removable since I have to be able to fit it...
