Last night I spent most of my time moving the materials and tools needed to work on the hearse down to the garage. By the time I was done, it had started to get a bit cold in there. I tinkered with the deer that will end up being the horse for the hearse. I didn't get much done because I had to play around with the motor on it a bit. Then I had to switch heads from another deer I have because I wanted the feeding doe's up and down movement but didn't want the head to be low to the ground. I took the head off of another deer that moved side to side so that when it does move, it will look more like a horse moving it's head as it trots.
I did get the two front legs covered with chicken wire and shaped a bit.
Well, by the time I got home tonight, it was too late and getting too chilly to work in the garage. So, I decided to play around with the Driver's Top Hat. The black felt was too new looking for something that is supposed to be old. So I took gray primer and ever so lightly spritzed it to give it more of a dusty look. I saw a picture today as I was researching of a hearse driver with wide ribbon or netting material going down the back of the hat. I took cheesecloth and sprayed it gray but it wasn't dark enough, so I took black and sprayed it with that. Then I took just a tiny bit of cob web and added that. Here is the result.
