Slow Progress continues
Posted On 04/12/2008 23:24:23 by PAHalloweenFreak

Well, once again progress is slow.  Things are difficult enough and then I get new ideas while I am working on it.  LOL!!

Still not sure if I will paint the spiders on the corners silver with the rails being silver or if I will paint them black.   I am leaning toward the silver to make it look like the decorative top is all metal.  Still have to figure what I will use for the legs too.  The decorative corner pieces are removable since I have to be able to fit it into my car.  I used wood dowels to attach them.  Drilling the notches for the pvc rails is rough and I had to stop before I finishe all of them because my wrist was getting sore. (I forgot to wear my brace)  So anyway, here is what it looks like so far.  You can get a good idea of what I am going for here.  Just wish it would go faster and I knew what I was doing.  LOL!!

Are the wheels going to be a decorative element or just something to let you get it from one place to another?

What size wheels are you looking for Ginny? I'll keep an eye out for something cheap

Unfortunately, I can't afford to spend $80.00 for wheels.  Really wish I could because that would be one less thing to do for this!!  I will be attempting to make my own for this.   *dreading the thought!

The  carriage will have a horse in front if I can get one done in time.  If not, I will have to use Rotoff with a few modifications.
