Hello Guys & Ghouls!!!
I have taken plenty of time to step back and think about our haunted trail. It was a long process of do's, dont's, why not's, why should I's and who even cares . . . BUT . . . at the end of it I knew the answer.
Having a haunted attraction open to the public is awesome. Helping others through your attraction is even better. I have worked very had for what I have accomplished at this point. I worked in a furious pace every single day for the last 3 years. Then when I step back, take a look and ask myself, "Is it all worth it?" The answer is, "NO!!!" It is not worth it if I have to sacrifice time with my family, tending to my house or taking away my great love for Halloween.
I could sit back and say if only I had more help or if only I had done this or that . . . but . . . in the end none of that matters. All that matters is that I get back to doing what I loved best. I have loved Halloween since as long as I can remember. I refuse to allow a silly haunt to change that. I won't be hanging up my haunting hat. I will, however, be hanging up my haunted trail hat for good. I would rather be a yard haunter and enjoy myself.
So please bid farewell to Earl's Woods Haunted Trail. Though I will remain here as a member with the same ID the prescene will change. I simply want to get back to chatting with all of my friends here and having a grand ol' time. I love everyone here!!! Thanks for your advice and for listening. It means a lot to me to know I have such good people I can count on. You're the bestest!!!
