I'm an avocational DJ, and using two turntables and a mixer to create a good mix is the goal of DJs like me. In fact, a great and seamless mix is a form of music all its own, creating a tension & dissonance that reaches to the depth of one's being!
Absolute silence, believe it or not (since I enjoy techno), prolly the yin/yang balance thing, I find absolute silence soothing.
A hot shower on a cold morning; a comfy bed after an exhausting day; simple beauty in a flower, or a guy; the dark; death by chocolate; Ponderosa pines; forest raves; desert raves; abandoned warehouse raves; illegal raves!
Halloween, it goes without saying here! I love the dark, I find I am most comfortable there. I love cemeteries, who knows why. I'm a fan of the dark mysterious Victorian-style 'Halloween feel' and not so much the blood & gore. My apartment is decorated along that theme. I find the scares of the imagination more effective.
OK, you're bored and want something to do. I can deliver! Here's a creepy, sinister haunted house, of which one bloke wrote: "Point-and-click your way through the house to unfold the mystery of what really happened to that fateful fictitious family. Best viewed alone, late at night, in the dark, and with the sound turned up." Well, my curious little fiends, you know what that means *shudder*. Click here to enter THE HOUSE

Catafalque [CA-tuh-falk]: A raised structure on which the body of a deceased person lies or is carried in state [usually with regard to royalty or high office]; also, a hearse.
Briefly, I'm relatively new to Halloween celebrating and prop-building.
My first celebration was 2003 with an open house at my tiny apartment. On approach, the stairway leading up to my floor was lined with pumpkins. The front porch contained the Catafalque Cemetery. Inside was the Catafalque Funeral Parlor. Walking thru the parlor led you out to the balcony scene with Witch Hazel & her burning cauldron.
My second project in 2005 involved decorating the bus I drive at work for Halloween -- a 'whole nother' story compared to the apartment. The front half of the Night Bus was the Catafalque Cemetery while the back half was the Funeral Parlor. I regret there are few good shots of the bus during Halloween night because of the low-light atmosphere I was trying to create. Nevertheless, the lighting I used turned out quite well. To supplement the pathetic sound system of the bus (tweeters only), I had installed a powerful amp and two subwoofers, and this played the soundscape music to great effect, even over the noise of the engine. Victims, er, passengers that night unknowing of the conversion of the bus to a mobile cemetery & funeral parlor had a bit of a shock when they boarded during our scheduled rounds that hallowed night. Quite fun!
Other interests of mine include:
Supporting the return of land back to our Native neighbors.
Supporting the decriminalization of drugs.
Supporting marriage for gay couples.
Supporting the underground: graf artists, ravers, skaters, bmxers. I initiated the process to get two skateparks and a bmx park in my community.
I was once manager for a college cross-country team in MA for 14 years. During that time the guys on the team encouraged me to try marathoning. Well, I completed two. (I'm not too bright: you'da thunk I'd have learned from the first! lol)
I rode a bicycle across the United States.
I love coffee ice cream.
Oh, and what's a vampmond, anyway??
