I work at a theme park in the props department for their halloween event.

And we do the hanging skin thing.

Use latex and do different layers with liquid casting latex, cheese cloth and papertowels [no printed designs].

It will make it thicker and less destrictible.

Then use paint...

But before you paint it! Mix the paint with some liquid latex..

So it will stick to the "skin"

Ok here's my 3cents worth

use parchment paper tape long lenths together.
turn paper over
paint on floor adhesive to desired thickness ..in layers would prob be best for dry time
if you like the color leave it  spray a matte clear if you can find it  otherwise paint over it flesh tone ..or whatver color you want
It will peel right off the paper...then you can do a bloody look on the "inside skin" if you like

ps..you can cut it too look like body too if you want.
do this in ventilated area please...
