In my quest to find some great "grownup" Halloween party drinks, I stumbled upon the fact that tonic water glows, and loved the whole GID Jello Shooters idea. I found that the recipes I tried had waaaay too much alchohol in them, and also that the quinine in the tonic water gave the shooters an unpleasant "off" taste. After much research and development, I came up with a recipe that was yummy, had a nice kick, and no funky quinine taste. Enjoy! :)
GID Margarita Jello Shooters Makes 8 shooters
1 (4 oz.) box lime jello 1 cup tonic water 1/2 cup tequila pinch salt
Bring the tonic water to a light boil, remove from heat. Add jello mix and salt. Stir until dissolved, about 3 minutes. Allow jello to cool to room temperature, then add tequila. *if you add the tequila while the jello's hot, you'll burn off the alcohol, which you don't want).
Divide mixture into 8 plastic, "bathroom" Dixie-style cups. Refrigerate for a couple hours, stick 'em under your bar's blacklight, and wow your friends.
You can also use vodka instead of tequila, and lemon jello instead of the lime, for Lemon Drop shooters. The possible alchohol/jello flavor combos are endless. Have fun!

Howzabout peach jello? Or if you'd prefer not to dilute your whiskey's goodness, try unflavored gelatin. You'll need to read the directions on the gelatin box, as it's made differently than jello. Some more variations: Grim Grinning Gimlet substitute gin for the tequila Captain Jack Sparrow orange jello Malibu coconut rum

Fabric softener glows, too, Grimdaddy, but I think that the tonice water would probably taste better, even with tequila.
ROTFLMAO!
