Since this is the chit chat area, I thought you guys may get a little kick out of this.
As I may have told some of you, I have 3 boys. The oldest is 18 and my twins are 10.. Well for several years we have been doing out basement haunt and they are afraid to go thru, so what we would do is turn the lights on and let them see where everything was and then turn them back off. Sometimes that worked and sometimes it didn't LOL
Anyway, to make a long story short, Haunt season was over and we were taking down everything to put it away. They were about 8 at the time. They came up with the idea that they wanted to make their own haunted house. We left them to their own devices and laughed as we sat back and watched them scare the pants off of each other. They did a pretty good job too. Even had a few of their friends come over to go thru. Ok that is my proud mommy moment LOL They are gonna be great haunters!

I think that's cool.
Believe it or not, I had my own Haunted House in the basement when I was 8-10.
I posted somewhere on here about it. I probably would have been an inspiring Haunted House developer by now if someone in my family hadn't have ruined it for me.
That's a cute story, let them spread their wings, they might be the next Tom Savini, Wes Craven, Stephen King, John Carpenter.

What a great story! You must be proud, ha ha! It's great when they can get into being creative together so young; who knows, this may work out to be a lifelong passion!

That's great! My brother and I used to set one up all the time in my grandparent's creepy basement. They had the perfect set-up - the stairs came down the center of the basement and rooms connected all the way around them. I seem to recall my favorite effect was a trip-wire plastic cup of ping pong balls... I'm in the same boat as you, my tyke won't even go in The Haunted Mansion at Disney! I thought systematic desensitization worked...
