I've come up with a few recipes for Jell-O shots over the years. They don't GID but they're really tasty. The general formula we came up with was anymore than half liquor/half water the shots would not set up right. It. Use this formula and the combos are limited only to your imaginaton. You can also use juice in place of some or all of the water.

Remember at the very least don't have more than half your recipe be alcohol. Or instead of Jell-O shots you'll have an unrecognizible colored slime that reeks of alcohol. Just a few things I've learned. Anyway here they are.

Golden Melon

1 package Watermelon Jell-O (4 Cup Recipe)

1 Cup Melon Liqueur

½ Cup Vodka

Strawberry Extract

2 Cups water

Boil 2 Cups Water stir in gelatin as on box.

Instead of adding 2 cups Water, add I Cup Melon Liqueur

Add ½ Cup Vodka a ½ Cup Water and a dash of Strawberry Extract.

Let cool in Pan 5-10 Min. Pour in Plastic Shot glasses

or in a Jell-O Mold

Let stand overnight or 6-8 hr. at least.

(So named because of the slight golden color of the finished product.)

Purple Passion Jell-O Shooter

1 Package Grape Jell-O (4 Cup recipe)

2-1/2 Cups Grape Juice

1 ½ Cups Vodka

 2 Cups water

Replace Water in box recipe with Grape Juice.

Boil 2 Cups juice as on box, and stir in Gelatin

Replace 1 ½ Cups Water in with Vodka.

Let cool in pan 5-10 Min. Pour in Shot glasses
let stand overnight
overnight or 6-8 Hours at least.

The sugar in the grape juice will stick a little to the bottom of the pan.

Slime Ball

1 Package Lime Jell-O (4 Cup Recipe)

1 Cup Vodka

½ Cup Melon Liqueur

 2 Cups water

Boil 2 Cups Water, stir in Gelatin as on box.

Instead of adding 2 more Cups water add 1 Cup Vodka.

½ Cup Melon Liqueur, and ½ Cup Water.

Let cool in pan 5-10 Min. Pour in Shot glasses

Or Jell-O Mold. Let stand overnight or 6-8 hr. at least.

Raspberry

1 Package Raspberry Jell-O (4 Cup Recipe)

1 Cup Raspberry Liqueur

½ Cup Vodka
2 Cups water

Boil 2 Cups Water, stir in gelatin as on box.

Instead of adding 2 more Cups water add 1 Cup Raspberry Liqueur

½ Cup Vodka, and ½ Cup Water. Let cool in pan 5-10 Min,

Pour in Shot glasses or mold .

Let stand overnight or at least 6-8 hr.

Fuzzy Shooters

1 Package Orange Jell-O (4 Cup Recipe)

½ Cup Vodka

1 Cup Peach Schnapps

½ Cup Orange Juice

2 Cups water

Boil 2 Cups Water, stir in gelatin as on box.

Instead of adding 2 more cups water add 1 cup Peach Schnapps.

½ Cup Vodka, and ½ Cup Orange Juice.

Let cool in pan 5-10 Min. Pour in Shot glasses or Jell-O mold.

Let stand overnight or at least 6-8 hr.

We even made Halloween double decker shots before. The Purple Passion recipe if given a little food coloring looks black. So we filled the shotglasses a little less than three quarters full with the Fuzzy Navel shots first let them set during the day went back and put a layer of the blackened Purple Passion shots on top of the orange. That way when the top hot layer melts away a little of the bottom layer it doesn't show up in the black area. They look pretty cool. It was a neat experiment.

If you pour into bathroom size Dixie cups, you have less dishes to wash. Did you also put this in the Scream Cuisine group?

Great recipes!  You can post those in Creepy Crafters also.  Since you've worked on your 'formula' and perfected it, you've mastered the crafting of the perfect jello shot.  Well done!  Other crafters need to know!

Nummy. I'm all about Jello shooters.
My question is, if you add the alcohol while the other stuff's hot, will it burn off the alcohol? Should we wait a few minutes before adding the booze?

BTM..
it won't be that hot because you add water  before the alcohol but make sure the jello is all dissolved

Spooky,
I also make alot of jello shots  and use more alcohol than water ..the secret is to add 1 pkg plain Knox jello to 2 large boxes jello
you can go from that on how much to add if lesser amount.
The Knox comes in a box with packages inside.

I aslo make mine in cubes if I am not using my suck and blows,
13x9 pan  when set cut in cubes

nice recipes Spooky...

I'm glad everyone liked my recipes. I will post them on a few other places, I haven't been to scream cuisine yet. I'll check it out.

Thanks for the tip Lilly, I'll give it a shot next time.

Sounds great, thankx for answering my question. What a shame it would be to have the booze burn off. The horror!
