LOL Glad you found what you wanted! I made a sample, just a quick test using Disney's Headless Horseman announcement:

I used Sony Sound Forge Audio Studio 8.0, NOT to be confused with the much better and much more expensive Sony Sound Forge 8.0, but it's a decent sound editing application. Audacity is pretty good and Free but I haven't used it much. There're lots of other free and inexpensive apps out there, this is just what I happened to buy.
I don't have "Echo" as an option but "Delay" seems to do the same thing. For this clip I used a 160 millisecond delay with a 60% decay and 30/70 Delay/Original volume ratio. Not perfect but it gives you an idea. I could have added "Reverb" as well but it didn't seem to add anything to the effect, just muddled it up. Maybe with more tweaking...
