I need a wav file or mp3 for the FCG. I seemed to have run into a snag when looking for female ghost sounds. I have looked on limewire, torrent sites emule and various wav sites but i have come up with little or no results. I was hoping somebody here could point me in the right direction.

I found some cool stuff on there

Interesting topic because just doing some quick mental calculating you often don't find too many wailing females yet there is such a rich history of such. Probably the most famous wailer is the Banshee and she aint a he. The Banshee comes from places like Ireland and in those areas they used to(probably still do in very rural areas)had professional female mourners who would sort of carry on like a Banshee.

I know one movie that had some cool atmospheric sounds that included a female prematurely buried wondering around in a catalyptic trance moaning called "Isle of the Dead". A few famous Halloween records had some females moaning. There was Thrilling Chilling Sound and Sounds to Make you Shiver which had a mixed crowd of ghosts. There was the record Great Ghost Stories and the track "The Golden Arm" where the male narrator immitated a female voice named Elvira the woman searching for her golden arm. You might find some female ghost sounds in House on Haunted Hill, perhaps 13 Ghosts. The original versions btw.

I have to say, this post and it's response really impressed me.

Davesworld and the disney album really doesn't have what im looking I think i found one I may use but i was hoping to find one without a music track. But thanks for the quick response anyway.

I know I am not very technologically edgy, but I am sure you can find a woman to record (on tape? Or CD/video?) who would be happy to moan for you.
