Are you referring to the fact that it outlines all the areas in green boxes?

BTW, I like that background.

I assume this problem has been resolved? I didn't see any green outline.

Yeha the whole screen has a green outline and i would like to get rid of it? It can't be the coded for the layout because there was no green in the orginal code. Ive checked my settings and the only thing I have selected for color is the text. So i really do not know.

Geeze, I'm sorry that this is happening to you.

The only thing I know is that sometimes a background code, such as pimpmyspace or some other code makes things a little confusing on someone's page. I take it that you want everything there but not the outlines.

I'm going to jump in to your page real quick and see what I see.

There has to be a reason it's doing that. Sorry it took so long for me to respond, I'm getting hammered with to do's here. Which is ok, that's what I'm here for.

If I find something I'll get back to you, in the meantime, maybe someone will jump on and give us a reason why it's doing that.

Ok,

I went in and looked.

There are tons of things in your profile settings with the color green in them.

I clicked on "my account" and "design your profile"

Each one of those green boxes, indicates that something in your profile is green.

What I would do is go through and change each one, remembering what you had in there, until the change is desireable.

I have no doubt that you can "transparent" one of those settings, or change it to a color you want.

I didn't mess with it, because if I go in and mess up your page, my name is MUD.

I love you page by the way.

I think you can remove the green outlines that surround different parts of your page.

You just have to find out which one changes it. If you still have a problem I will work on this some more as time permits.

Ok I screwed around with it for 30 minutes and i discovered that it is "the main tex color" that causes the problem. So when I make it transparent it just turns the box and the main text black. My page is wider than the page screen so the box is just an outline of the screen. So I am not sure if it is code or certain items that I have that causes it.I will continue to screw with it and let you know what i come up with.

Got rid of the code & moved items around and i stil had the same problem. I am not sure what is that makes my page wider than what should be but i think that where the problem lies. I believe If my page was normal width than that would eliminate the outline of the orginal page width. I know minimal about html and such but that is the only thing i can come up with. I am open to suggestions. BTW I am using the same on my xx page and i do not encounter this problem. Not sure if that helps any.

Page widening problems have been known to have been caused by.

1. People inserting large comments on a page
2. People inserting large "features" on their page.

The site is unable to decompress additions to your page, or allow them to appear, but in a mannor that is consistant with your page.

Sadly, I can't keep HauntSpace as precision as xxspace, clearly because we're so small and limited.

But, we're going to go through the updates again, because I strive to make you guys happy and hey, Haunters are friggen awesome.

I hate to go through this process again, because we all know what happened, but I would rather have "no site" than a site that's not the way I want it to be for all of you.

The problem with this site is that it's a script that's fairly new and there are continual changes and improvements that come with it.

I tend to think that the problem is that things that are placed on the site, are oversized, and there's nothing wrong with that at all.

I put some stuff on my page that distorted it's appearance, and I have to be careful with banner management, because if I put a banner on the site that doesn't fit the specifications it distorts the entire site.

All in all, I totally feel your pain and TRULY apologize, I want to give you everything you want. It's frustrating when we have these problems because the members on here are well worth the effort and I have a little place in my heart for all of yo.

My suggestion is this.

Look and see if there are parameters on what's being placed in your pages. A big script like xxspace has the advantage, because they have enough money to hire the best of coders and come up with a solution to every problem.

We're limited, and I say this bowing my head in embarrassment.

I only wish I had the resources to make a phone call and have someone come here and make the changes I need.

I think that in time, we'll get this site running like we want it and changes with the script will allow us to have the pages the way we want them.

As for me, when I get comments that distort my page, I delete them. I usually delete all of them after a month or so anyway, because I like to keep the page organized, but that's personal "habit".

At the moment, we're still facing a serious problem. We have a script that has many flaws and uprading it so that it functions efficiently on a server is priority. I hope that such issues are cured by the upgrade, but we're still not out of the water.

We still have to get the place running efficiently on a server, which may mean more cost.

I think it's well worth it. I'm a Haunter, and everyone else on here is one too.

I think we'll have HauntSpace where we want it to be in time.

Just please stick with me, I'm in it for the long haul.

Sorry for the HUGE explanation, it's been rough lately.

Cheerio,

Pete

Sorry to respond 5 months later.  I figured I'd take a look into some CSS issues.

It looks like your Skem9.com CSS adds a 5 pixel border around every triply-nested table.

You should be able to override the rule by adding this rule to your profile CSS:

.main table table {border-style: none}
