Those interested in old cemeteries, tombstones and notable inhabitants therein are encouraged to join this group, the older the better (gravesites, that is; not joiners lol).
We are a Halloween-loving lot that seeks inspiration from photos and appropriate links for our own prop- and gravestone-building endeavors. So pictures or links of old graveyards, tombs and grave markers are encouraged.
Stories grown up around those interred are welcome, as are epitaphs.
The group default photo is of an old wood headboard for a cemetery plot located in Williams Arizona. This cemetery is just off I-40 on the west end of town. The entire cemetery is unfenced and is beginning to show signs of disrepair. It sits among the deliciously gruesome Ponderosa pine known for this area. On a warm day the scent of the pines and of the decaying dropped pine needles is intoxicating.
