There has never been a case where a madman or a group of Satanists have poisoned Halloween candy with the sole purpose of killing all the children that trick-or-treat at their door. This sad legend lives because there have been cases of people killing their own children to collect life insurance money, and cases where family members tried to cover up accidental death by poisoning the candy and saying the candy killed the child. Certain groups who are against Halloween have used cases like these to benefit themselves. They add to the hysteria by making false claims of many cases of poisonings worldwide.
Although it is true that there have been cases of needles and razor blades being found in Halloween candy and apples, the objects were not placed there by Satanists as a way to perform human sacrifice. Many cases were pranks pulled on family and friends hoping to scare the recipient of the candy. And most cases turned out to be complete hoaxes. The same happens here as it does with the poisonings, anti-Halloween groups add to the hysteria by making false claims with the hope of benefitting themselves. Razor blades and needles
Halloween is NOT Satan's Birthday. According to certain religious beliefs, he was created in Heaven and his name was Lucifer. He wanted more power in heaven so he and one third of the angels that supported him were thrown out by God for being rebelious. He then became Satan. A being created in Heaven by God does not have a specific day of birth to be celebrated. Celebrating the birth of "religious figures" is a totally man-made idea. Since Halloween is a dark and mysterious holiday, anti-Halloween groups have claimed the day is evil and must be Satan's birthday.
