How do you know when you have enough to make your first yard haunt? I've been collecting, but I just don't think I have near enough for a first haunt, so I'm definately going to wait & do my first one next Halloween. That way, I will know I have enough, plus, I'll have a whole year to plan/prepare. It is sooooo exciting though & I wonder how normal it is to get almost emotional finding a great cross or statue to go with the cemetery scene!! Is that normal? Abnormal? Normal for us? l... Even though my local Target won't have Halloween stuff out until October, their website has about 30 pages of Halloween decor. They've got a bubble fogger and some other new products this year. The more expensive items usually stick around until after Halloween, when they go for 50% off ( I got some cheap metal fences last year). ... Read More
SPOOOKY-WOOOO!!!!!!! We went out to orinially buy the Living Dead Girl (daughter) a new mattress and laptop and get Dr Demento (son) a $$$ calculator and while we were out we found the coolest little strobe light/sound effect combo, a totally AWESOME statue with a skull and raven that reads "Nevermore", a light up 'hotel' type sign that flashes "The Witch is in", a mumified cat (PERFECT for out HM theme cemetery!!!!!), a doorbell that plays scary music AND Dawahares is going out of bus... so a while back i was given a big tote full of spare Blucky parts (thanks Audreannaga)! out of the parts, we made 2 or 3 full Bluckies, and all of another one but 1 foot! i thought about having him the way he was, but decided to get a little creative with it. i made a Blucky with both his lower legs chopped off from it! he's all corpsed and ready to hang in a torture area in the trail. so even if you've lost some parts to a prop, it can still be useful! there were several spare bones left in...
