some of yall know from chat that my parents are elderly and have decided to fill their in-ground swimming pool with dirt. they couldn't keep it up any longer and it was becoming a mosquito pit. so yesterday, my Dad was in the yard so i walked over to talk to him, and he said he was going to take down the pump house too. he said i could have it if i wanted. it is pretty good sized, about 6 feet square, but only 5 feet tall. Sunday was a planned work day on the haunted trail. as usual, NO ONE showed up but Danny, Josh, Josh's friend Zack, Russell, Jordan and myself. i am beginning to be disheartened... when you call people numerous times and explain that you're planning a work day and they say that they will show up, yet never do it gets very frustrating! i am of the opinion that if you just want to show up the week before to help, or even worse, the night of and then expect to be handed the coolest costume/area... i have been scouring the area, searching for the larger size pallets... i've had a little luck, including permision from an electrical supply business to take all their larger ones... but the most amazing thing has happened! my neighbor (yes, right up the hill from my house) has a HUGE stack of 6 foot tall pallets! and they GAVE them to me! all we have to do is haul them! i have 1 load on Ol' Spotty now, and there are at least 2 more loads waiting up the hill!!! here's a pic of the ones we lo...
