Zeke the zombie

My first entry had inspiration from two sources:  www.vilethings.com/_other_me__the_duct_tape_double.htm and Stolloween.  In a nutshell, and you'll see from the pictures, I duct taped my kid while wearing old clothes, wrapped him to his neck, cut it off, stuffed the exoskeleton, paper mached it, painted it, and seal coated it.  Really, the only expense was the six rolls of duct tape (the cheap stuff from Wally world) and Elmer's glue for a total of $25.  Time, however, is a completely different matter.  This guy owned me ever since I finished last month's contest.  So, here's the pictures:

So there he is.  There's a whole bunch of steps that just were too long to itemize here.  I think you get the jist of the steps were along the way.
He's going to be a great addition to our cemetery this year.

Thanks for taking a peak at Zeke!

Parkfield Cemetery Coffin Cart

Here's a picture of my inspiration, source unknown:

This was a bit more costly than my other projects.  I think I have about $60 into the wood for this bugger.  Here's the pics of the process:

Whew!!!!!

Ok that's it! I want to know how everyone is finding time to bang out these monstrously fab projects. I must be the poorest time manager on the face of the earth!

Jeremy - those columns RAWK!! I belive you've participated in nearly every contest is that correct? You will have an awesome haunt with all your creations.
Oh - and yes the Lab's anniversary is the 25th of this month - stand by for a BIG announcement

Artsy - I can't think of a better username for you then that! You are creepy crafty girl! Love the coffin cart and the body double. Hey - it's also good to know what kids are for

Less then an hour to go folks. Voting will begin tomorrw morning sometime.

Thank you PumpkinFarmer!!!

go, go, go, you can do it

Thanks for cheering me on!  OMG--- I think posting these pictures was more nerve-wrecking than the actual projects!!

All of the projects this month are awesome.  You guys inspire me every time.  I love the crocheted heads!  I have plans to make an entry for my cemetery so I'm glad to see the how-to on that project.  That endless mausoleum -- WOW!  I still love the 13th hour clock (I would NEVER put it away!)  The creepy cake, the carnival games, that wicked leering prop (someday I'll make one), and what will be that cool pumpkin tree -- all are really great projects, too.  I know I'm forgetting someone....  I'm still jittering from posting those darn pictures!

Good luck everyone.  I think we all are winners and the best prize is each and every person that stops and appreciates what we've made.  Thanks to Marsha for challenging us again.  One thing -- I think we aren't so hard on ourselves when you give us the SEI's!!

I'm going to the beach tomorrow!!

artsy

very nice, three props this month, you are a beast!  those are too cool.  good thing we don't vote on volume, you would blow us all away.  also, where do you keep your time traveling machine?  you got to have some sort of time stopping, reversing device to do all of this in a month!

good stuff everyone

time traveling machine?
 Nope!  No time traveling machine.
Simply:  I don't sleep!

Hey, gas prices are outta control so I had a nice "stay-cation" this year.   Yeah, it's not a faraway place, somewhere exotic, but I was able to make some cool Halloween stuff!  No postcards... but the photo album has some cool stuff this year!

I can't say no to a challenge Marsha, plus I love making the props.
