Hi Everyone, Well, I made it there & back again. Just got back home this evening (Monday 8/13) & very tired. My friends kept me up til 4:30 am almost every night. Still have lots to do with unpacking, etc. I promise that I'll do my best to post the highlights of the trip. Yes, I did take lots of pics. Haunt_Master
Greetings! I'll be traveling to the great state of Maryland to attend Horrorfind Weekends Aug. 10th-12th. It's in a northern burb of Baltimore, called Hunt Valley. I'm leaving Thursday Aug. 9th & won't be back til late Monday the 13th. Maybe I'll see some of you there? I promise to answer any & all emails regarding haunt consulting, when I get back. Hoping to take lots of pics of the event. Maybe even write up a blog or two on it. Take Scare my friends, Haunt_Master
Twas a few days before Horrorfind Weekends... Planning, confirmations, lists made, shopping to do, doll surgeries to finish, packing... ugh! But, then I start thinking... only a few more days. The anticipation is building.. It's like a preview of the coming Halloween season. Once again to be in the company of my Horrorfind board member friends. Building the haunted house on Friday morning, & spending all afternoon finishing it. Scaring several hundred or more diehard horrorfans over two days. The whirlwind of activities going on through out the day into the wee hours. Going to bed before the sun comes up every day. Ah the treasures to behold that is the Dealer's room. Do I have enough money for the whatever, & will it fit into my suitcase? Hmm. Must not forget the good times. "Lights on tour"/ Q&A for the haunt Sunday morning for an hour, then tear down.
It's the 13th day til Horrorfind & .... Still working on props for the convention Haunted House. Got the 2nd motion detector built today. Also wrote up a "how to" as I was putting it together. My years of working at an electronics factory & writing assembly processes, all came back. Ha! Did a test of the "night eyes" in two doll heads, they look very evil!! hehe Yes, I took photos of both. But, for some reason it won't let me download them to my computer. I'll get it figured out.
On Friday the 13th my truck started acting up. After I finished work that evening, it wouldn't start. After checking things out for anything loose or out of place, I tried again 11 times. It's a little over 2 miles from work to home. Decided to give up & lock up the truck, and make the long walk home. Tried one more time & it started, yeah! Didn't want to get stranded so, I staid home for the most part.
Dropped my truck off Monday (early morning) at the garage. There was lots of cars & truck in their lot. And me without having an appointment either. They estimated $290 for a new starter & labor. They didn't mention how soon they could work on it or anything. I rode my bicycle to work with the busy traffic. They called Tuesday morning with much better news. It's done already & the starter was under warranty!!! Just had to come up with labor costs of $108. And only a few weeks before vacation too.

As some of you know from my blogs, I got Scooby Doo dvds seasons 1&2 (What's new Scooby Doo) as a B-day present. These are not the 1969 series aired on tv. In vain I tried to purchase it locally but, nothing. Sadly I returned them & ordered the correct dvds online. Came home from work Monday & it was waiting for me!! Zonks!! Not the 1969 season one dvd http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8207503&st=Scooby+Doo&lp=7&type=product&cp=1& id=1608321 Also not the 1969 season two dvd http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8368731&st=Scooby+Doo&lp=4&type=product&cp=1& id=1628021 The correct 1969 seasons 1& 2 dvd box set http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=6302592&st=Scooby+Doo&lp=4&type=product&cp=3& id=1349790 season 3 dvds http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8290583&st=Scooby+Doo&lp=6&type=product&cp=1& id=1617251
Greetings! My first thoughts were on the coming HFW with the unveiling of the board member shirt design Thursday night. Plus the anticipation of ordering one for myself today! I got my first fright when I came down to eat breakfast & my computer was still on from the night before. I knew that I had shut it down but, it was still on. This was simply explained by it waiting for a response. Whew. Got in my truck to got to work & the first time I turned the key, nothing. What the heck! Tried again, this time it was ok. Whew. Had a very busy day & left to goto lunch not thinking about the previous problem. Everything worked just fine. Finished my very busy day (after most people in the lab had left) & dragged myself to my truck. Tried to start it & .... nothing. AAAAh!!! It's about a 5-10 drive from work to home, around 2 miles. Thoughts of walking the route home after a long hot day, sounded painful. Popped the hood to see if it was a loose battery connection or something simple. Found nothing, even had a bright hood light. Once again I tried starting the truck, nothing. It took at least 12 tries & just as I was about to lock up the truck & make the long walk home, it started!!! Woohoo! Normally on Fridays, I get some movies & takeout. I had planned a monster movie marathon to celebrate Friday the 13th. Scrapped the takeout plans, didn't want to risk getting stranded. Made spaghetti, recorded Dr. Who & watched movies. Tried several times to login into hauntspace without any luck. AAAhhhh!!
Greetings!
Some of you know that ....
today Monday July 2nd is my B-day!
Last year I got a graveyard! Checkout my pics & see for yourself. As of 10:35 am cst, still don't know what surprises I'm in for. Only thing planned so far is a late lunch at Outback Steakhouse to celebrate my day. I'm a kid at heart so, I'll never really be my birth age.
Enjoy the pictures!

Having the movie "Dead Silence" come out this week on dvd has been an inspiration to me. As many of you know, Horrorfind Weekends is coming August 10-12th, & I'm on the haunt crew. Finding volunteers this year has proven to be difficult, even more so this year. Mainly due to people's overwhelming work schedules & having no time to build props, etc. for the haunt. I ran around town looking for just the right thing for my contribution to the haunt. Visted several craft stores but, was disapointed by them. Even Evil-Mart didn't have much to offer. Then 2 thrift stores later & a visit to a dollar store solved my problems. I found five 10 in. dolls & five 15 in. dolls at a thrift store. Now all I had to do was to purchase batteries, & build "night eyes" leds to make them "creatures of the night"! heheheh
P.S. I watched "Dead Silence" while making the doll's creepy new occular transplants. Don't scream!
