I thought this was going to a cinch. Then I reworked it, then reworked it again. Still looked like a mess to me. So I decided to put in the cities. Do you know how many haunts either don't have the city and state listed or make you hunt for it?? If it's MY haunt, I want folks in Tokyo to know how to find me. You never know when people are going to be in the area and want to find a haunt.
Ths list is in its third incarnation and I think it looks pretty good, clean and easy to read and easy to find something in almost any state in the union plus one so far in Ontario.
Strangely, I found three haunts in Utah, but none in Idaho. You'd at least think there would be a hay ride or a haunted corn maze.
Considering I've only been working on it for 2 days, I think it looks pretty darned good. If you wanna see, or have a link to add, check it out. There are hundreds of links already!

I've posted the tomato cage tree in the Papier Mache group so y'all know what has kept me away from blogging. You can see it in the gallery here.
Now I've started two new tombstones.
That page is here. To make the larger of the two tombstones I'll be making the biggest batch of pulp I've done so far. The arms are angry at me for all of the work tearing strips, then separating the clumps of damp pulp, but I shall overcome!
I was perusing Freecycle San Diego and someone offered a Climbing Guide Book. I was half asleep so my first thought was actually an image of this book chained to a shelf so it couldn't climb up the shelf. Is there one in the Hogwarts library do ya think?
....you're a Halloween freak when: You ask for a framed bat skeleton for your birthday You're excited more when you find a deal on Buckys than when you find a shoe sale You take things like Graveyard Cake to your holiday party You don't mind when your kids get their jeans all grody cuz you can use them for a prop You yell at your SO for using the corn syrup to cook with (Honey, that's for the blood!)
(contributions welcome)
A scene is coming together in my head involving a Mama Hellcat and kits. Mama would be centrally located, kits would be climbing round various windowsills, creepy cat condo, under chairs, etc. Thinking green LED eyes for kits, red for Mama. I would like to have at least one part of each critter that moves. A couple of kits with tails twitching, a head moving, etc. The kits would have minimum movement, but Mama might be a small pop-up. Any ideas where I can get cats that are articulated, larger than a houseccat, maybe twice the size, that I can hack to put in the eyes and workings? That won't break the bank?
To all of my friends here at Haunt Space. Hope you make time from prop-building, monster-making and every day stress to tell those you love how much they are appreciated. This is the first time I'm missing making paper hearts with my kids. Funny how that happens. It's been many years since they were young enough to do this, and something is lost in just buying a commercial card. Not that I don't love getting Hallmark cards, but there is an intimacy in making a card for a loved one.
Monsters need love too!
There's a lot of talk on the Yahoo lists about ACC not carrying Halloween skellies any more. After much panic and a few emails, the word is that Skeleton Store has taken over that part of the business for them. Same stock, no idea if the group bennies will still be available. It just got to be a lot of work and ACC wants to stick with the medical part of the business. Seems SS will take the orders and process them, then the orders go to ACC and are shipped from there.
Anyways, here's the new link
