Man, 28, revered for love of HalloweenI wasn't sure if this had been posted yet. A memorial is planned for Tuesday night at 7:30 pm at Transworld. Right now organizers are still trying to find a place for the memorial in town.
Retired from making masks for a living but still make the occasional one for charity auctions or raffles. Made 2 hawks last year and finally remembered to get some photos! My spouse sculpted the original hawk the mold was made from. We grind up old paper grocery bags in water in a blender. The pulp is then pushed in to a plaster mold, excess water is pressed out, and it dries in the sun for a few days. The paper shrinks and pulls away from the mold. The mask is trimmed sealed, painted, and sealed again. Individual pheasant feathers are selected to lay right and left glued by hand. Elastic head band is added. Lightweight and comfortable.
Stopped at Michael's today and picked up 2 boxes of the test tube favor kits on clearance for $3.99. They are part of the Martha Stewart Halloween collection. The test tubes are plastic making them a safe prop to carry around for a mad scientist costume. Target had a lab wear theme in the Halloween food section with glass bottles and plastic ones. Good opportunity for stocking up on that lab theme haunt or party for next year.
The Laughing flirt with guttering light Full gayly seeks her fate within The haunted chamber dread. For 'tis All Hallowe'en to-night! But ghastly shapes do walk and grin, The wraiths of those long dead.
"And I am Tom," said one and bent His fleshless skull beneath his cowl, "I died of broken heart." "And so did I!" "And I! We spent Our life for you." So with a scowl Each spectre plays his part.
She Shrieketh loud, as one who sees Her dead sins ugly face to face, Their eyes like burning coals. And drops the light and shuddering flees, For haunted ground is no fit place For those who play with souls.

Just started watching this new series on Voom HD network Dead Art hosted by Dee Snider. Great way to tour some of the most beautiful cemeteries in the USA.
