My first fog machine
Posted On 08/02/2008 19:15:53

I'm pretty new to yard haunting and have only done a few props and LOTS of spider webs . I found a cheap fog machine  and am now venturing into evects. I feel like a real haunter. (Look ma no hands!) It is a small step but the begining . Next will be crank ghosts and pop up dead guys and so much more. Aah so many ideas  my head is ready to explode!   I have been hitting all the websites to see yet if they have any Halloween out yet and found HSN has there fog machines on clearence for $22. Not much of a clearence but the cheapest I have found so I had to get it. I should be getting it by the 6th. Whoppie! Also fright catalog has there 2008 collection out and more ideas to steal from. One of there new props called the go blow wall vampire. It is way beyone my skill level but I hope to make a static version for alot cheaper. So that is another thing that is going on to my project list. I swear this list is taking on a life of its own. Also i still working on my paper mache projects. I am so happy with the results so far that I decided to make some  spiders too.  I have lost my mind and don't miss it.

Finally
Posted On 08/01/2008 10:01:18

My favorite time of year is finally here. The brats are going back to school, the stores are putting out the long awaited Halloween decorations and the ideas are flowing. Too many ideas. I recently found a couple of paper mache projects that I really want to do but I have never worked with paper mache   with any great succes so  I'm experementing by covering a couple of wig heads to see if  it's do able. It is going ok so far . At least these ones have dried. ( don't ask). they're a little softer than I would like  so I'm going to tinker with the paste a little then see what happens. I also started on our Halloween village.  We have doubled it in size so that means I have to make a whole   new base . But when I went to go get started I had no saw blades . The week before I broke two and lost the last one I hade, so I have to put that project off for another week. I have been trying to get at least the village base finished so that I could start working on on the bigger props and I know the villiage will take the longest but because of one thing or another I have had to keep pushing it back for about a month and a half now. AUGH!  That drives me crazy.  I hate waiting. I want everything  done NOW! But patience is a virtue ( Of which I have none)
