I've been watching a number of comercials for the movie "shutter" I personally am very excited for its release. It combines elements of J- Horror with a Grudge like creepy. I don't expect it to be amazing but it's a good concept that I've been patiently awaiting for ever since I heard Steven Spielberg picked up the reigns to a fatal frame movie. (announced but in limbo) What do you think, could it be good or is it destined to fail?
I figured i'd share a game with the world that me and my counsins play at just about every family get together. The name of the game is Dark Dark Donkey. To this day no one knows how we came up with it but that what we call it anyway the game is simple. 1 person is chosen to be it. (usually the oldest and fastest kid) the rest hide around the yard. just like in hide and seek the person who's it must close their eyes and count. then they must go find the other players. But theres a catch, when spotted they can run away and then the game is just like tag. if you get tagged your out. To add to the games intensity and the reason I bothered posting it on here is that the game is only played at night. This allows the person whos it to sneak up on their victims and man are people surprised when they find you in their hiding spot. I suggest you teach your kids if they dont already play something similar. The game is best played in a large yard with good hiding spots. Message me if you have any questions.
I have already begun making the transition from yard haunter to something of a semi-pro. In planning for Halloween this year I have noticed that my attraction will be rather graphic. Some scenes and props look as though they have come out of a SAW or Hostile scene. This begs the question, how much is too much? With todays "politically correct" everything will large amounts of gore and torture turn away patrons and possibly gain negative publicity? Or could it make a haunt stand out above the standard "Boo" type scares commonly found everywhere else? So I ask what do you think? Could it crash and burn, or become legendary?
