What a great idea!  I never thought of doing this to a nutcracker and will be on the lookout at the Salvation Army for one too now to "borrow" your idea....lol

That is great! I saw one at the Salvation army too, and wished I had gotten it even though the foot was broken off! NOW I'm REALLY bummed!!!
