I really should be working, but as my brain is a bit too scattered to really concentrate on any one thing at the moment.
I went to Bats Day again this year. For those of you that are not familiar, Bats Day is basically a group of goths, punks, rockabillies, etc etc converging on Disneyland on a predetermined day. Despite the reasons given and the rumors that float around I still think that it is some sort of sick joke to bring a bunch of people that enjoy wearing black and elaborate outfits out into a theme park in the middle of summer. "Aren't you hot?" is the second most commonly asked question with "Is there some sort of convention?" being number 1. Of course we are hot. It's 100 fucking degrees outside. Everybody is fucking hot. The real trick is how so many people manage to keep there makeup looking good.
I am getting off topic ...
The event has grown to include several pre-events including a breakfast, a dinner, a concert, and a collection of vendors (Black Market). I love the black market for the opportunity to find new artists. This year I found Killer Pumpkins.
I love the look of their pieces and plan to pick some up for the house. Go check them out. They even have some pumpkin art for non-halloween seasons.

I ran across an article about Todd McFarlane and Josh Olsen had pitched an idea to Warner Brothers for a new rendition of The Wizard of OZ. I got all giddy and excited as I collect certain series of the McFarlane line of toys / figures and the Twisted Land of OZ was one of my first completed sets. It is too new of an idea to have any sort of supporting information, but I did a quick search on IMDB anyways. That search resulted in the discovery of a possible Clive Barker movie based on the toy series and book, Tortured Souls I was not aware that Clive Barker had written a Tortured Souls book, but I am going to have to track that one down. So the possibility (however slim that they may be that either project will be seen through to completion) has me all giddy.
Well, I ended up going through the source code a bit to make some appearance changes. Not exactly what I would call a finished product, but it will work for the time being.
Now I just need to actually flesh out the profile contents and then call it a night.
I think that I might finally have entered the slow portion of my work day where I am free to poke around on personal projects. Tonight my project is going to be putting together a basic theme for my new profile here. Eventually I might get motivated to figuring out the CSS necessary to come up with a completely custom profile, but for now I like the default layout ... just needs some personal touches with the colors.
