Zombie Drive 2008 was a huge success! We had over 100 children/people to come out and we got a ton of good comments! It was a lot of fun, too!

I ended up working on Frightmare Forest this year. 3 different guys from the VFD came asking (2 weeks before it started) for my help and they changed a lot of the stuff I didn't like about it. So I helped out over there.
Stuff I did:
I set up the area SpiderBaby and I are using.
Told them about safety problems, so they were fixed.
Did some work on the witchhouse so it looked better.
Decided to turn the vampire "tunnel" into a crypt and painted faux brick on the wall and painted a hole in the wall with creepy eyes that glow under the black light.
I found an old cement bench and 2 pedestals to use on a rubble pile in front of the woods, and some cement peices to use as gravestones. We set the bench at the scare scene I'm at and the pedestals in front of the crypt. Nobody had thought to look on that pile for stuff to use.
Helped some with getting the spiderweb on the trees fixed. Made an old-west looking entranceway.
Painted a cemetery sign and some stuff on the wooden grave-markers.
I gave ideas and suggestions for stuff.
I spent over 12 hours over there the past week working getting stuff ready.
Saturday night was the first night of Frightmare Forest this year. They said 80 something people came through. I wore the mask I made and did the chainsaw scare. SpiderBaby dressed all cool and was a Zombie/Voodoo Queen called Bone Mama. She was a distraction for the chainsaw.
I caused at least one person to wet thereselves and got a lot of screams and jumps.

This year I decided not to work on the VFD's spook trail. For personal reasons. Instead this year I'm doing a small haunted event and giving out candy with my Wife. I've been real busy and when I'm not doing work around the house I've been working on props for Halloween.
This has been a really busy summer.
In the spring I planted a vegetable garden. It did really well. I have spent hours (and hours) taking care of the garden and putting up vegetables. I also have a pumpkin patch.
I've also been working on several Halloween props/decorations/costumes. This past week I went and talked to one of the VFD guys about doing the Frightmare Forest Spook Trail again this year. He said that they voted at their last meeting and we are gonna have it again this year.
A little backstory on the Frightmare Forest Spook Trail.
The spook trail was SpiderBaby's idea. Last year I went and talked to the Sandersville volunteer fire department about having a spook trail as a fundraiser and they were all for it. SpiderBaby & I organized it. I made props, customized mask/costumes/props, and I worked my tail off turning some unused woods into the trail. I also designed the flyers and did the art for those. I played Leatherface and SpiderBaby worked the lights for Leatherface's scare. SpiderBaby did all the internet advertising for it. The VFD sponsored the event. They gave us the money to go buy stuff and they helped with getting the trail ready. Members of the VFD and people they know worked the event. From the time the VFD got involved till the spook trail started was 18 days. I worked on it about a week longer.
We had over 700 people come to it, some driving over 100 miles to get scared. We got lots of good comments. A few people freaked out and at least 2 (admitted) wet theirselves.
---
We are starting earlier on the trail this year. Everything was done in less than a month last year. The trail turned out really good, but it was a lot of rush work. Not a moments rest till it was over.
So I'm gonna be busy the rest of the summer working on stuff for the spook trail. It's fun, so that's cool.
