I had prepared myself for hard prison time like breaking up rocks or going to the pea farm or doing time like Cool Hand Luke!!!! I could of escape by placing a Blucky under my covers with a extra head of course!!!But alas,the Illinois Department of Labor has decided alls I have is a yard Haunt after looking at my website(which they should of did in the first place)!!He was very polite and nice so no harm done!!!Now I got the information if I ever do want to open a haunt!!He gave me a wesite to check out if I want!!!So,no prison time for me,I might crawl in the Pigmans cell just to keep me in check!!!!!!

I got a email from the Illinois Department of Labor saying I have a haunted house/barn,thus is a amusement attraction!!!This letter is not to scare you,but inform you that the Illinois Deptment of Labor, Carnival and Amusement Ride Safety I nspection Division is responsible for inspecting and permitting haunted attractions open to the public!

And it goes on and on!!I was left a contact to call to see if I should be fine $2500.00.lol I'll call them tomorrow and let them know it is a yard haunt.If they would of clicked on my site they would of seen that is what it was!!Maybe I over advertised it!!!Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

During a visit to the mental asylum, I asked the director how do you determine whether or not a  patient should be institutionalized. 

"Well," said the director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a 
teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub." 

"Oh, I understand," I said. "A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."

"No." said the director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?"

I was going to use these old firemen hats my grandpa had for props.He died before I was born.He was born in 1890.They had badges on them so I checked on them,the Union Fire Co. of Mascoutah.The last badge was made in 1916,then it became the Mascoutah Fire Dept.The lady at the historic society said they only have paperwork on this fire dept,no badges or any other stuff!!So with these hats and badges being 100 years old or so I guess I'm donating them!!!The lady was elated!!

That was last years,I had 115 trick or treaters tonight!!The fog machine timers worked great and all the props worked great!!We had traffic jams on the street several times and everybody toured my yard and said they loved it!!Scared some of them too with Barlow popping out at them every once in a while and the fog machines going off at random!!It was the greatest nite I've had!!!So thanks to everybody for ideas!!!Happy Halloween

I often hear of people having hundreds of trickn or treaters.In 2008 I put up a small cemetary and had 10 to 12 treaters.Last year I filled up my yard and had over 50.This year I added moving props and want to get a tab on how many come.I've filled up little halloween bags and counted them.I did 100.now I'll have to wait and see.My mother-in-law,sister-in-law and brother-in-law will join me and Weezee on the front porch to give out candy!!Also Weezee's step-mom and 1/2 sister are coming too!!!How many treaters have you had for a best!!!

The parade was a success!!Everybody loved the float and the kids had a blast.I awarded them all 1st place trophys when we returned home!!Weezee got a kiss!!!
