With all the great Halloween poems I've been seeing on hauntspace lately, I thought I'd share mine, and it goes a little something like this. . .
&nb sp;
Spirits fly in tattered flight.
Feelings of dread flow into the night.
At the graveside where skeletons dance,
twisting and turning, in other worldly trance.
Alive in death this time each year,
deaths face they wear, a defiant sneer.
From a life long forgotten, on a yearly trip,
they pry themselves loose from death's icy grip
After this night they return to the cold,
as energies fade, death retrieves it's hold.
But fret not, again they'll be seen,
dancing by their graves, come next Halloween.
