So I found out Sunday that a historic covered bridge close to my hometown was destroyed on June 3rd from the tornado. I know not really haunt related here, but some find covered bridges a bit spooky so we'll go with that. Anyway, I am sooo glad I took my Mom up on her offer to go to the festival there last summer, I had not been there in years! You can see from the link it was a beautiful bridge, build in 1886, very unique features. I like covered bridges, you just get that historic feeling. So I've waited for my friends Dad to send the link to show the before and afters.  ~AA

I know we've had interest from some in seeing some photos from the IN/OH gathering on MAY 17th. Well one of our great memebers posted some fabulous pics at the group site.

Sorry this took a bit to get out here, but I just wanted to share all
the fun we had at the IN/OH Gathering on May 17th! Hope more can plan on attending next year!

EVERYONE had such a great time at our First Annual IN/OH Haunters Gathering from early on in the morning until late at night!!!  It was really fascinating to watch the face-casting demo by members Sparky with David as the winning ‘Victim’. We were so into working on the MNT project- Creating Tombstones - that some of the contests & activities that were planned couldn’t be completed!! [No worries tho- we'll fit these into our next one or two monthly MNT meetings!] There were a good variety of designs and all of them turned out fantastic – even at different stages of completion! There was also a delicious BBQ lunch and plenty of food & snacks to share, lots of scary goodies were traded at the 'Swamp Meat' which also included some unique products made available from Horror Core Concepts by JunkPunk/Grinner and we had our usual door prize raffle too! Good conversation & friendship was plentiful and there were some that stayed for the 'After Dusk Film Fest' featuring the movie ‘Silent Hill’! One of our young haunter guests that also joined us for the day was Alysa- 14yo & Eric’s daughter, who made us a very cool movie screen to use and she added some great fx! Using a sheet, she cut up & singed the edges, stained it with some brownish paint and even smeared bloody handprints to give it a very spooky & distressed look! ~It’s never too early to start! ;)

I can't believe tomorrow is the Gathering for the IN/OH Group! We have had a pretty great response so far. Maybe we'll see some surprise guests tomorrow! I wanted to post this special thanks to those that helped spread the word, host the gathering etc. etc. etc. I can't wait to see everyone tomorrow!!
