So, I havent told all of you about my haunted house mishap last year........oh man was it a crazy situation, and boy was I mad as hell!! I always have a party for my kids and all the kids and adults i know, and these past few years i have been creating a haunted attraction in my yard and at the end of the party the kids go through it and get a bag of candy at the end, they are not usually that scary because i usually dont get much help, my friends and family arent into halloween like i am. Last year however, was by far the best one i have done thus far, it would have been GREAT had I gotten the help that was promised me......My son has this friend and her mom loves halloween as much as i do and she came over to drop off her daughter to visit for a while and i was out working on my haunt and she came over and was excited to see that i was building it and she wanted to help me build it and also to haunt in it at the party, i was so happy to have help and was very eager for her  ideas, so we agreed that she come over the next day AFTER i got home at 4pm, I continued to work till 2 in the morning and I had to be to work that day at 6:30 am, so you can imagine how tired i was, but my haunt was almost finished and all i needed to do was make two  more rooms and then put props and decorate it and it was finished.............well i had 2 days till the party and at that point i was doing great for doing it all by myself considering i only had the weekends and after 4pm on the weekdays to do build it. So i was stoked!! Well that day i was feeling lucky cause i got home early and decided i was going to go back and work a little bit before she got there to help me, so i went back and lifted the black tarp  to find that she was already there at 2:45 in the afternoon, with her friend working on my haunt........but they completely destroyed everything i had worked so hard to build and i do mean everthing i built was completely torn down.......i was in tears i was so mad and i couldnt even think straight!! I could not believe that she would go to my house while i was not home, for one i dont know her well, for 2 she seen that it was built and i have no idea why she or anybody would just tear it down and start from scratch.........her reason,"oh, I didnt think these walls were working....I thought you wanted them different." I was hot I had to walk away......i had to pick my son up from school and when i walked around the corner I called my girlfriend who could not believe that this woman did this to me with 2 days left till the party, answered the phone to hear me ranting and raving and screaming as loud as i could cursing and asking why she did that to me and all my poor girlfriend could do was listen to me and tell me she didnt know why and that she was sorry, it wasnt her fault and i just needed someone to talk to or well listen to me go on and on, me and my son walked home and i went back and told that lady to leave and that i didnt want her help and that she destroyed my haunted house and that i dont see how she didnt see that it was almost done, i was very short with her and she knew i was extremely mad and she tried to apologize but her words just entered one ear and out the other cause i knew all my work was for nothing and i had to rebuild it all over and once again all by myself, my girlfriend  helped a little but it was cold outside and she  didnt want her 2 year old out in the cold, i didnt blame her. and my son helped as much as he could but it just was mostly me out there alone, and it really sucked!! I did get it all finished i even had to work the day of the party but i was proud of the fact that i built it so well in so little time but i didnt have it decorated or any props in it.......i just didnt have time, so i made due with a haunted partially maze. I vow that this year will NOT be a repeat of last year!!!!

Ok, so I havent started building anything yet, but I am in the process of thinking up some creepy stuff, Im new to the creative side of halloween and prop making, I have loved halloween and scary things for my whole life, but i am just not as creative as i would like to be, i am not sure if I am not creative or if I am just discouraged easily. I feel so embarassed that i have nothing to show from my past yard haunts or haunted houses, they are just so cheesy cuz I have absolutely no technique. I am here to learn from all of you on hauntspace and i trully mean this for all of you on here when I say that you are soooooo talented and i am glad to have found this site.....which was by accident might i add, but nonetheless i am grateful that i found a place where i can fit in with my love for the "dark side" if you will, and also lucky enough to be learning from some of the most creative people in the world. Thanks to all of you here on hauntspace.......you all rock!!! HAUNT ON!!!! have a great time creating your spooky delights for this year and years to come!!!......amanda
