I am so happy to have found this haunt. I noticed the address in an email from Monolith Graphics, and I had to check it out. This is my kind of place, much more to my liking than MySpace, and somewhere I can post my art, unlike SpookyART, where I'm not professional or gruesome enough.
Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. I truly dislike Christmas and Easter, although I am not anti Christian or anti Christ. I am anti organized religion and false facades, although Halloween has grown increasingly commercial since my childhood in the late Fifties. It has also become much more dangerous. I remember running free in my neighborhood on Halloween night, with little fear of meeting a real monster. Oh, there were urban legends of razors in apples and poisoned candy, but in reality, no one really feared the evil we now face daily.
I usually hang out at ThothWeb.com as a moderator, at SpookyART.com, as a wannabe, and various other sites of mystery, horror and art. My favorite art magazine used to be Juxtapoz, to which I've been a subscriber since 1997, but it is moving too far to the graffiti persuasion for my taste, and I'll not renew my sub in 2008. These days, I enjoy Dark Realms and Cthulhu Sex, although both my subs have expired to these publications. My art magazine of choice is currently American Art Review.
Now that I have found all these other warped people who share my fascination with Halloween and the Dark, I can tinker with my strange imaginations to my heart's content, always ignoring my husband's admonition to "grow up." The dreams and fantasies of a childlike mind are all I could ask for, and I am so thankful that I no longer need pretend to be serious, businesslike or dedicated to corporate advancement.
Here's my flair for today:

Hope I remembered that, because doesn't look like I can edit this after the fact.
