thinkin about stuff
Posted On: 04/22/2008 02:52:12

Hello everybody out in HS land!!!  I was just sitting here thinkin about stuff and I think it is so great that everybody has been so very busy so early in the year!!!  what a great incentive this home away from home has been!  Generally I wouldn't even start thinking about really doing anything until about mid-July or August and here it is April and I feel like I've accomplished so much already!!!  I know for me it's just knowing that there are "others" out there who understand and are so into it.  and it seems like a lot of you have great spousal support (or at least tolerance LOL) for the insanity that is halloweening...  I am so inspired on a daily basis, am so in awe of the creativity that flows here, and so appreciative of the willingness to share ideas, tips, tricks and what not.  All in all, every one of you guys and gals rocks!

.. and that's all i have to say about that!  Hope everyone has a fabulous week - mary

i agree with you totally.. its been a few years now that i have considered myself a true haunter..i always was into planning scenes but i mostly just went off of all my store bought props.. it probably all started for me this past december when i really started digging deeper in to the haunt world.. and then i found hauntspace.. i have gotten so much work done this winter its ridiculous.. i have really stepped it up a notch into really really building new props and experimenting with new techniques.. my friends always make fun of me and are always wondering why they dont see me out at the bars.. well.. quite frankly.. i hate being in a bar.. the whole time im there all i think about is the time im wasting when i could be at home being productive.. ive always been a homebody but now i really put my stay at home skills to good use.. haha.. i thank hauntspace sooooo much for that because everyone is so inspiring and motivating..and above all.. supportive.. before.. i would work on things and only share them with select few that i felt comfortable with.. now i have no fears of being judged for my lack of ability because i know that even if im not happy with something i will get a lot of positive reinforcement.. i think hs has helped me come out of my shell because before i would be hesitant to tell people of my hobbies.. not that i really care what they think but more because its a lot easier to be quiet than it is to explain why im working on corpses in march.. now you wouldnt believe the amount of people i tell about hauntspace and i think its because ive truly 100% found a sense of belonging..
