I want to start by thanking everyone involved in making Hauntcon possible.  The experance was great.  We started on the Pre-show tour.  In Baton Rouge we went to The 13th Gate, a wonderful haunt, staffed by great people.  The attention to details made the haunt the great attraction that it is.  I am still in awe.  Then we went to a place called Myrtles Plantion, A haunted plantation that gives tours.  The tuor guide was great, very entertaining and very informative.  Then we toured a haunt called Chamber of Horrors, a very good smaller haunt.  Well done with lots of cool props.  After that we made the trip to tour The House of Shock.  WOW, they sure have that one named correctly.  First they had a small freakshow with a straitjacket escape, and other acts. really cool, then we toured the haunt.  It was great, extreme but awesome.  The actor in this haunt were great, over the top, and energetic.  A great haunt.  Then we tourd a haunt-in-progress called Mortuary.  They are going to have a great show when they are done.  All of the above happend on the whirlwind Preshow tour, I should mention that all the above haunts also gave guided lights on tours so we could all ask questions and see how they acheaved their effects.  It was a great time and I learned so much even before I attened a class at the show. 
I will write about the show later as I just returned and have tons of unpacking to do before work tomorrow.  If you went great hanging out with you all, if not make plans to attend next year as it changes locations every year and Iam sure there will be a new set of great haunts to tour.
