pressure is on at the maze
Posted On: 07/13/2008 05:49:35

Okay We are about half done with cutting out the corn maze.  And we did the difficult parts first so the rest should go fast.  That is if nothing else goes wrong.  Our artist kind-of screwed up the grid a little, not realizing that grid squares had to be square.  So after some major number crunching that problem is now more of an annoyance.  But we are still racing the clock, as usual.  Most of the corn is already up to our heads and is rather thick at the bottem.  That makes it hard to get a clean cut even with the ground, making the path real rough.  I'll have to go bak later and make sure there are no trip hazzards, thats like 3 miles of path to check.

But soon the real fun starts, props!!!  We have 11 hopful scenes for this year.  They are all real good and will involve some cool stuff.  I cant wait till we start building.  Right now I am collecting all the crud I can at sales and auctions.  Last week I got 6 hardhats for $ 2.50 COOL!  I must say auctions are great for getting cool stuff cheap.  Got a pair of old ice tongs (from when they used river ice) for a buck.
