I landed a spot at a local haunt! Legends of the fog! awesome setup this year check them out!
I've been toying with the idea of starting another contest. I wanted to know what you the spooks and spectres of hauntspace thought of what I have so far.
To start off the contest would be to design a haunt.
However each contest would be different because like Mad Labs monthly SEI. Various element of the contest would change, ensureing a fun and challengeing contest.
The contest will start with a shape on a grid. like graph paper. The contestants must design a haunt within this shape. I was thinking that each square could be 1 square ft to keep things simple. I would make the inital paper downloadable from the group. in a months time the entrys would be submitted and voted on with the winner recieveing a prize. All entries will be submitted into a haunt design encyclipedia of sorts. And also made available for download before halloween. (Septemberish)
Monthly variables include:
Shape
Price
Theme
Number of actors
Restricted Items
I will come up with a set of rules and regs if you think its a good idea. Otherwise I'll anwser any questions you want. -Joe
I have been recruited by a local haunt to help them out this year. I have decided that it would be a better way to get a feel for the industry than to dive in head first. Nothing is finalized yet but I will be sure to keep everybody posted. but if everything goes as planned my team and I will take over a section of their haunt and make it our own. Sort of like a racing team, they own the car, we drive it...

Went to my first Horrorfind convention today and it was awesome! I enjoyed every second of it. I got an awesome shirt and some stuff to finish off my Umbrella Corp. costume. Everybuddy there was great. I even ran into Borlof? from Monster Madhouse. It was refreshing to meet so many likeminded people in the same place. I advise anyone who hasn't experienced such an event to do so!

I've been thinking about making a Halloween oriented podcast and wanted to know what you the people would want to see in such a production. Anything from set designs to segment ideas are welcome.
